The Mysterious Illness

Last week, my son became mysteriously ill. He just couldn't manage to make it to school for several days.

After much consideration, I think I have figured out why. He gave himself a haircut. With the clippers. Now he is totally, accidentally  bald. Guess what? Hats are not allowed in school!

Tomorrow I leave for Philly with Victoria. The doctor will sedate her and "re-adjust" her hips and put on a new cast. This is not very common, but as you all know, Victoria is special in every way, even her hips.

Poor Francesca is hanging in there. I wish I didn't have to leave her, but she will be in good hands with her dad to carry her around all day long.

See you all on Thursday! Any suggestions for the color of her new casts? Something that doesn't show dirt, maybe brown?

  1. LOL....How about purple? It is darker than the pink. :)

  2. I think you need to find a friend who sews and have her make an easily removable cast cover. If I lived near you I would make one. Hope the trip goes well.

  5. Funny my son had the SAME illness a few years back. Good luck in Philly. They have a pretty blue cast that reminds me of denim.

  8. The dark purple is my favorite! Not only is purple the best color there is, but the purple fiberglass wrap they use for the casts is such a pretty shade.
