Happy Easter everyone!
We had kind of a quiet day today since tomorrow is going to be a very busy day for Victoria and me. Tomorrow we fly to Philadelphia for Victoria's surgery. Tuesday, she will be having surgery on her right thumb and she will also be having her hips re-located. The surgery will be eight hours long. I am pretty nervous about it. I hope she will not be in a lot of pain. She will have an epidural for the first two days. Please pray for her to be safe and for the surgery to be successful. I am trying not to think about coming home, with only a one hour lay-over in Chicago and Victoria in a body cast. I am sure it is not going to be as bad as I am imagining.
My friend, Traci, gave me a great idea. We had a flashlight Easter egg hunt last night. I think the idea was to wait until is was dark, but I get cranky after 8 pm, so we had it in the garage. We had a lot of fun!
This morning, the Easter bunny left some very magical bunny dust. Catherine was extremely impressed.
Francesca's first Easter! Of course, she loved all the candy!
Victoria delighted in opening up all the eggs and giving the treats to the dogs.
Isabella worked so hard to blow out the innards of the egg so she could have a hollow egg. I think she might have burst a blood vessel.
Catherine was very intense about her eye dying. She ate a bunch of eggs, but not the yolk. Never the yolk.
Victoria liked to dip the egg in the dye and then ......
her eggs mostly stayed white, but her tongue turned several interesting colors.
Francesca was not too keen about putting her egg in.
She immediately required a napkin.
Poor Isabella, still hard at work.
Every year, our eggs somehow end up turning out brown. Hmmmmm....I probably need to get rid of this Christmas table cloth.
Hope everyone had a wonderful day!
good luck victoria!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Easter :)! Francesca's hands look great; the pink nail polish is precious.
ReplyDeletePraying for you and Victoria.
You and Victoria will be in my thoughts and prayers!!
ReplyDeleteBecause of her arthrogryposis, MAKE SURE that the epidural works. It did NOT work for Erika, because they couldn't get her back to bend and get the needle inserted into the correct place. It took about 20 hours of extreme pain before they finally switched her over to a morphine pump. For Victoria, it would be a continuous morphine drip. Please ask them about this! It may save some of what is left of your sanity. Sorry to be a downer, but we have done this before. :)
