Let me tell you, there have been some really exiting things going on around here. I know you all have been spending many sleepless nights holding your breath, so I won't delay any longer.
I bought a new toothbrush.
I have spent considerable time hiding in the bathroom, but the kids keep finding me.
Last night, when I was awake, frantically searching for a Pedisure for Victoria, I got so tired, I had to sit down on the kitchen floor and take a rest.
We had a very sweet puppy visit us. She lost her eye, but it doesn't slow her down. She chewed my computer charger in 5 seconds!
Victoria is still having a tough time. Some nights she sleeps well, but sometimes she is up all night. I have been working hard on speech stuff with her. My latest goal is to get her to "show me her teeth" because she seems to lack the muscles to do this so far. She finally did it yesterday and we got so excited, she got shy and covered her ears.
I am hoping by the end of the week to be done with Francesca's dressings. She is constantly chatting, but still not in any recognizable language.
Victoria finds ways to pass the time.
The most exciting event was that Victoria got to take a bath after 9 weeks!
How many more kids can we fit in the tub?
I haven't seen her this happy in a long time!
It's great to have a sister to give you some support when you get tired.
Oh no, not water!!!!! Why do they keep putting me in this stuff!!!
It's tricky to get Victoria out of the bath without hurting her. Any little bump makes her cry in pain.
My poor, old dog Isaac had to have some teeth removed. He was so worn out he had to close his eyes for a little while. I know how you feel big guy!
Thank you Robin for sending us some great surprises! We have had so much fun with the card game, "Sleeping Queens". Even Elliot liked it!
Victoria had lots of fun with the balls! Thank you!
Thank you Jane for the fabulous tablecloth! This is actually little Catherine's happy face. Sigh.
I finally found some shoes to fit Francesca's feet - Crocs! She loves them! Doesn't she look so grown up here!
We found ways to party without the internet for entertainment, but boy, am I glad it's back!
LOL.... a toothbrush is interesting! What kind? :)
ReplyDeleteVictoria looks so good! Love that last upside down picture. :)
so glad you are back!!!!!! Francesca does look very grown up in her crocs!
ReplyDeleteI missed you! I thought maybe you were just too worn out from staying up all night(s) with Victoria. Cute puppy, but that is why we have a rule in our house NO MORE PUPPIES! (I did rescue for about 8 years before having kids, my hat is off to you for continuing it after you had yours :D ))))
ReplyDeletePS It's kinda weird to miss reading about someone's life that you've never met isn't it?
Love the pics of Victoria perusing a book! My daughter was amazed to see how Miss V has filled out. And Francesca is always such a hoot. One of these days I'm going to call her Francie...if that doesn't bother you...
ReplyDeleteI was so worried when we did not hear from you for so long!! So glad you are back. Francesca's hands look like they are healing nicely!! What does she think of having fingers and toes? Praying that sweet Victoria starts to feel better!!! *hugs*
ReplyDeleteGlad your back! Missed you all!
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Like the others I missed reading about you. Was afraid one of the girls had some problems and maybe in the hospital. It's great to watch Victoria and Francesca get casts off and and able to do things.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got a new tooth brush. Hope it is a good color.
When my twins were little I'd have to hide mine or they would use it or dunk it in the toilet.
Keep on writing and keep up the good work. God bless!!!!
Dottie
Zulily has Crocs sometimes! I got a pair of off-brand Crocs for $3 at Payless for one of my daughters. So glad you found a comfortable show for Francesca!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd love to hear these precious babies talking! Do you have videos of them making their noises?
