I just want to tell you how happy I am that you adopted not one, but TWO darling girls. Francesca has a special place in my heart--you see 28 years ago, my cousin Patrick was born with a very severe form of Apert syndrome. This part will be hard to read--the OB literally tossed my blue-faced cousin onto the baby bed an said "this one is not compatible with life". Fortunately, every one else in the room disagreed and he was rushed to surgery to have his sinuses opened and to have a trach placed. Twenty-eight years later, my cousin is indeed proving that he is "compatible with life". He is a fighter with a wicked sense of humor that has landed him with not one, but 10 girlfriends. Please, keep us posted on sweet Victoria and Francesca.
