A Homebody Day

Yesterday, Catherine showed me her plan for wearing her favorite article of clothing, her bathing suit, throughout the winter. Tights and a bathing suit? And I really wonder why people stare at us?

Today, however, this little one had a fever. When Catherine is quiet, you know something is going on.

With the big kids at school, I planned on having a quiet day. Resting, reading books, napping.

She did manage to drag herself off the couch for a little artistic time. I thought I should try to get some food into her. She really doesn't have a lot of reserves. Bad idea. Now, it was laundry time.

Francesca was really concentrating.

Victoria was not interested in using paper as her canvas.

Then, everyone "helped" me do the dishes.

Curly, blond tops!

By this time, I, I mean, they, were ready for naps. Miraculously, Catherine was suddenly better. I figured I would read her to sleep. So, we read, and read. An hour later, I woke up, to find Catherine happily playing and Victoria still singing in her crib. Sigh.

Think I'd better hit the hay now, I am feeling a little puny myself!

  1. you should try edible fingerpaint with them. mix corn syrup with koolaid packet mix for taste or color whatever kids prefr paint on paper plates with popsicle sticks or fingers as paint brush lick off for new color to paint ....super fun even teenagers like it. take a pic of artwork though cause if you hang it the pictures drip off

  3. I gotta say, I love Catherine's style. That outfit is just crying out for a few things though; a tutu, a cape and a magic wand. :-)
