The Birthday Cheese

Happy Birthday Victoria! I can't believe she is 3!!!! The best way to start the day is with some birthday cheese. Yum! Victoria didn't know what to make of the candles.

She is telling everyone the candles are "hot"!

Now she is praying. Maybe she is praying for a better breakfast.

She was very meticulous about opening her presents

Grandpa came to visit to help celebrate.

Victoria kept a tight grip on the birthday check! 

And look what she got from with Grandpa's hard earned check: A choking hazard! Just kidding. Victoria loves to figure out how to put things together, but I gotta keep these away from Francesca's mouth.

Victoria has engineering genes in her. These are called Wedgits. She quickly put this together all by herself.

Victoria's first word was "mom" (of course it was! All of my kids first word was mom because I repeated it over and over until they finally caved and said mom so I would shut up). Her second word was "angel". She loves a little metal angel I have on the mantel. She doesn't exactly say it quite right. More like "aaaaa-hole", but we know what she means. 

So what better kind of cake for her than an angel cake! 

I kind of had a totally different picture in my mind of what her angel cake would look like. Her angel looks like she is sinking into a candy mountain, but well, it's the thought that counts, right?

The wings turned out well. They are made of graham crackers. And those golden sprinkles are a little piece of cavity causing heaven.

She was pretty much under-whelmed with the cake, but I know what I'm having for breakfast!

 When I think back on the day she was born, it makes me sad. I wish I could have been there. But now she will forever be loved! Happy Birthday sweet angel!
