Hi! I saw your post re adopting from Taiwan. While most Taiwan facilitators prefer small families, they are always looking to match children with special needs with families. Consider asking agencies for waiting children listings, but most children will be much older than one. It is most likely going to be difficult to find a child so young as one year old at placement. Taiwan adoptions often take 6-14 months to complete. Most of the children with special needs available for adoption are preschool and early school aged children. Children have to be placed on a national adoption registry list for a couple of months before they can be referred for international adoption.
