Another Issue of the Ferrone Daily News

Lots of fun stuff has been going on around here lately. Our most newsworthy event was we celebrated my mom's birthday! For her special day, we went to a nice, quiet, peaceful restaurant where no other kids seemed to venture. I like to think we livened up the joint a little bit!

Then, we went to visit Great.

And here we have the four Catherines.

It's just not a birthday without a box of chocolates. I got my mom dark chocolates, which the kids aren't keen on, so she actually got to eat her candy this year.

Special poems and pictures were received.

Then it was time to party with some ABBA!!!!

Dancing Queen!!!

Mama Mia!

I really love Abba!

We decided we'd better not light the candles with Great on oxygen. That would have been a little too much excitement!

In fashion news, I got a few spiffy tattoos. Sure, Crayola says they're washable, but not when they are applied so densely. There's a lesson in there somewhere.

Many creative tattoos were available. Notice the cost? A mere $20!

She's a star!

The girls had a super fun sleep-over, but of course, not much sleeping occurred. I think our table is pretty much at maximum capacity here!

Enjoying the last days of summer......

...because soon it's going to be getting chilly! The girls are already planning their Halloween costumes. I really want them to be a theme. Any ideas for five girls?

In Entertainment, we have our first movie night with our new couch. Who knew a skateboard made such a great table!

This issue of the Ferrone Daily News is brought to you by the cutie pooties!

  2. 5 little monkeys, jumping on a bed. Don't you think that would be a great costume idea?

  3. My goodness, four Catherines! I couldn't have imagined! I loved all the pictures. I esp. liked the one of Victoria "dancing" with Isabella. I love the look on Victoria's face and Isabella looks so pretty.

  4. Winnie the Pooh characters suitable to each personality? (Still laughing at "we decided not to light the candles. . .)

  6. It looks like you had a fabulous time!
For costumes how about going British with The Queen, Catherine and 3 corgis? Or how about Olympic and Paralympic Athletes? Mac from Inky Ed had a brilliant Kurt Fearnley costume http://inkyed.wordpress.com/2012/09/06/book-week-kurt-fearnley-and-those-guns/

  7. Great post. Love seeing your "daily".
I had forgotten you had four Catherines, great picture!
How long did it take for that marker to come off of Catherine's face?

  8. What about the colors of the rainbow...you know, ROYGBIV? Each girl could dress head to toe in their color (maybe even dye their hair)!

  9. Such fun times at your house! How about a Happy Meal for costumes? Drink, Burger, Toy and two fries? OR Nuggets and Fries? lol Now I'm craving a Big Mac.

  10. Maybe Russian nesting dolls for Halloween? Same costume just getting smaller in size? Luckily the kids will be adorable no matter what you do!

  11. They could all be Candyland characters. Or, for that matter, any type of candy. My 2 year old is going to be an ice cream cone, so maybe I have sweets on the brain.

  12. Victoria looks like a little Pebbles to me. Franchesca could pull off a good Bam Bam. The big girls could be Betty and Wilma and Elliott could be Fred. Catherine would make a really cute Dino. Another idea might be Disney princesses. Whatever they are, they will be the cutest kids on the block.

  14. As counterintuitive as this sounds, I have found that Sharpies come off skin better than washable markers. Just jump in the shower and wash your arm with shampoo.
