Victoria was up all night last night, so I have been a cranky pants. She is only happy when I am holding her, which I love! (except I started to love it less at 2 am, 3 am and 4am)
Someone asked me if Victoria can put her legs together. The doctor told me not to try to move her legs, but if she wants to move them herself, then that's ok. So far, she hasn't wanted to try. I think that it still hurts a lot. She doesn't even like me to rub cream on her legs. She still isn't using the right thumb yet! She tends to be on the cautious side!
Francesca's fingers and toes are healing amazingly fast, but now she has developed a bad reaction to the stitches in her grafting site, so that's infected. It's always something!
I think its so wonderful that Victoria discovered that she's in a world where if she wants some love, all she has to do is ask for it. And if I came from a place where my whole entire life I didn't have that -- heck, I'd be asking for 24 hour hugs too!! Horray!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad she has her Momma there to comfort her! :)
ReplyDeleteCould you use coconut oil with a drop of lavender essential oil on Francesca's wounds? They are both anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. Plus, it smells nice.
ReplyDeletePraying you get some sleep--and that the kids do too! Also, as someone else commented, it's great that they have a family now so when they feel scared or in need of comfort and love, mama is there--even when she's exhausted! Victoria (and I'm sure Francesca too!) has CLEARLY bonded to you--that pic above is so sweet--despite her sad little face.
