Just some non-sequitors

I had big dreams about this weekend. I was really looking forward to ....no schoolwork, no carpool, no rushing around, sleeping late.....

I ended up going to the grocery store four times, driving my son to the mall, picking up thousands of tiny pieces of paper from a craft project my kids started and waking up in the wee hours of the morning because of the dumb time change! Oh yeah, party hardy!

However, Theresa got me a facial!!! It was amazing! The only embarassing part was when the woman stared instensely at me and said that she had never seen such dark circles under someone's eyes before.
"You really need to get some sleep." she told me.
Only in my dreams!


I also spent a ton of time searching for my camera. Some sneaky person had actually put it in it's camera case. Like I would ever look for it there!


Though Daylight savings time annoys me, I gotta love the first few days of it. It gets dark so early, I can get the kids into bed by 7:00 pm!!! Though I will pay for it in the morning at 5:00 am.


Thank you all so much for all the ideas about Victoria. I do think she shuts down when there is too much stimulation. We have been sticking very close to home this past week and I see her daring to come out of her shell again after her surgery ordeal.


She is really full of surprises. She draws!

I have been trying to teach her how to point at things and recognize words, but I didn't feel like she was getting it. The other day I was trying to take a picture of her, so I said, "look at the light" (meaning the flash on the camera) and she looked up at the ceiling light and pointed! She is a genius!!!

She also has quite a sense of humor. I was calling her name and she kept looking away, and then she would smile and look at me and then turn around again.


I think Francesca's scab is going to come off soon and it is going to be gross!!!

I've stolen Jen's idea - we made a thankful tree!!! The tree kind of looks like some kind of freaky hand, but that's what happens when you let a four year old use the scissors. By the way, I have about 10 pairs of scissors and guess how many I could find?!
