Today could have been a fantastic day, if I had just stayed in bed!
Victoria had to get her 4th round of casts, which took over an hour. She fought and screamed throughout the whole process, making it almost impossible for the physical therapist to get much of a bend in her knees.
Francesca sat very still and quietly in her stroller, trying not to draw attention to herself. She wanted no part of those casts!
Look - both eyes open, wound healing, but not for long - cue the Jaws music...
When we finally got home, we were all exhausted. Then, Victoria had a major poop blow-out, which traveled through her diaper, through her pretty dress and soaked into her casts!!!!
There was nothing to be done but cut off the nasty part.
That was the best part of the day.
Then, Catherine thought Francesca needed a smack in the forehead with her hard doll, which broke open Francesca's healing wound! Blood was everywhere!
So, there you have it.....
The Good
The Bad
and The Ugly (not the child, the wound and the swelling!!!)
Guess who has been in bed for quite a while now! I wish it was me!!
(Don't worry, I talked to the doctor and Francesca's head will be fine.)
You need chocoate. Brutal day. Francesca looks GREAT (minus the irritated wound)!
ReplyDeleteI swear...you might just be superwoman!

Seriously, you need a medal!
ReplyDeleteFrancesca is really looking so pretty! Just a minor setback!
Poor baby girl! I think she needs a helmet to protect her from Catherine, hahaha. Seriously, hope she feels better soon, and you get a break.
ReplyDeleteAwww! Poor girl!!! And Victoria too! The picture before the doll incident looked great!! Francesca is healing up! So glad to see that!! I hope today is a better day for everyone!!!
ReplyDeleteLord have mercy! You are an amazing woman and a great mom!
ReplyDeleteJust got caught up on the first page of your blog - oh my dear, woman! You need some chocolate, a bubble bath, a million dollars... oy vey! I don't think I could do it but then again I know I would if I had to. *HUGS*
ReplyDeleteOh My! We have days like that, too, but without the extra complications of healing from surgery and having casts put on! I can definitely relate to the "whacking" part of the day...but at our house it wouldn't be a doll (having a crowd of boys instead), but might be a flying block, a piece of PVC (Mom! I ACCIDENTALLY hit him with it!) or a shower of legos thrown with a bit too much force (ditto). Bless you, bless you, bless you! May much peace and grace reign in your household this weekend to compensate!
