We just got some wonderful news - we got a court date for May 31!!!!! That is only one more week! We are praying that the 10 day wait will be waived due to Nastya's condition. Please say a prayer for us!!! I also wanted to say thank you to everyone for all your support!!! You all have kept us going!
Here is our landmark to find our apartment, lovely outfits!
Nastya is still sick so we haven't seen her in two days. We really miss her and we hope to see her tomorrow. I think she has a fever.
We have become experts at ordering food without speaking. Travis wanted some chicken wings, so I flapped my arms like a chicken. Travis was embarrassed, but it worked! They understood me!
View from our street.
This is what we had for dinner. Pasta is always a safe option, though we do boil it with bottled water. There is a lot of metals in the water here. I love the cucumbers here!
We've been told to watch out for the wild dogs here - they roam in packs and they will bite!!!
God is really watching over us. We were coming out of the ATb (which is a grocery store) and I heard a little boy speaking English. I really thought I was hallucinating! Then, I heard the dad speak in English while we were crossing the street.
I burst out, "You speak English!!!"
"You speak English!!!!!" he said incrediously.
We were all thrilled. It turns out that they are a missionary family who lives here! They were so kind and wonderful; they even invited us over to dinner! We had the best meal - meatloaf and mashed potatoes. They have the sweetest children.
This serves a drink called "ka- vass" which is a kind of soda that tastes like beer. I did not like it!
Smoking is bad!
Here is our bus. It seats 15, but usually holds about 50! I am usually flattened against the door, holding on for dear life.
We have chosen the girls names, but we aren't going to reveal them until after court! I know, I'm sure you all are on the edge of your seats!
Moira seems to like books!
I can´t wait to see little Moira smile. And I hope Nastya will recover soon.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you

What a fun adventure:) I agree with Jessica- it would be awesome to see Moria smile. All the more reason she needed YOU!!:) Take care and hope that Nastya is feeling better tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Dima? If you do give him a big wave!:)
Well, we didn't pet the dogs, but we DID buy them dog food and scattered it around!! They are starved and so sad!!! It's only $1 at the grocery store for the small bags of "Chappie." Seems like you are settling in well!!
ReplyDeleteHugs! :) xoxoxo
The picture of Mama and Moira face to face is just precious.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm dying to know their names!! I'm praying for you and the girls and for your kiddos at home!
ReplyDeleteOh, she is precious. Maybe it is a little blessing to just have Moira time....who knows.
ReplyDeleteKa-vass.....yuck! I thought that was NASTY!!!
Hi Travis! Don't drink too much of that nasty stuff!
I want to hug MOIRA....she looks just huggable and precious......
